My name is Katie Gabel, and I graduated from the Speech-Language Pathology master's program at the University of Iowa. I loved being involved in research in addition to working with clients. Though I enjoy working with people of all ages, working with kids has always been my passion. I am particularly interested in how our brains learn the technical aspects of language (e.g. morphology and syntax), and how we can develop interventions that are effective in helping children who struggle with these areas. When I'm not in the lab, class, or clinic, you can find me exploring new places, reading/writing poetry, and spending time with my friends and family.
