Hi!! My name is Adamari Peña and I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Iowa majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track. I like this research lab because I am able to use my bilingual skills and learn about how word recognition is different and occurs in bilingual children and adults. I have loved learning more about Speech-Language Pathology and how it works and learn how it relates to the brain. When I'm not in class or the lab, I volunteer as a Mobile Clinic coordinator at Columbus Junction and work as a Resident Assistant in the dorms. In my free time, I am hanging out with my best friend getting coffee, painting, or reading.
